Managed Print Service is an integrated document printing, copying and scanning solution, which utilizes high-capacity SHARP Electronics’ Digital Multi-Functional Devices, with MyQ/PaperCut Printing Solution Software to deliver secure, high quality and cost-effective print-copy-scan jobs.
MicroKernel would undertake:

1. Routine monthly servicing and maintenance of the SHARP MFPs
2. Supply Consumables and Spares as at when needed
3. Make available On-site Service Support regionally.

• Device Optimization:

  Managed Print Service will necessitate significant reduction in the number of devices within the various Business Region work space, is not only aesthetically valuable, but it would also promote the use of MFPs for printing, copying and scanning activities – allowing them operate truly as multi-functional devices, that they are.

• Device Management and Status Monitoring:

  MPS through MyQ/PaperCut, monitors and shows current status of MFPs within the network. Sending alerts and warning messages via e-mail to designated addresses, on low toner status, mis-feed/ paper jam occurrence, service maintenance due alerts etc.

• Device & Document Security:

  Printing Solution Software Applications would help secure organizations MPS Network of MFPs. The user login authentication requirement, would restrict access to MFPs’ functionalities only to authorized users. MFPs would remain inaccessible to a user except he/she has applied his correct user login details.
  While MyQ/PaperCut’ Secure Printing feature will eliminate access to printed materials by all users other than the document’s originator him/herself. This is because jobs sent to MFPs would only be released from the MFPs’ control panel, after the originating user has applied his pin or username and password.

• Usage Reporting:

  Print and Copy Job Accounting by MyQ/PaperCut is very useful in managing print-copy costs by various units/ departments/ groups. With job quota allocation to users, line managers/supervisors have the responsibility of ensuring users do not arbitrarily and/or habitually exceed their quota. In extreme cases when it is suspected that users have arbitrarily exceeded their target for unofficial purposes, a usage audit can be carried out to review users’ work.

  • Follow-Me Printing:

    Follow-Me Printing is a feature of PMS that enables a user initiate a print process from a network computing device, and access the job from any of the proposed networked MFPs. So literally, the job follows the user to any networked MFP, the user may choose to carry out his/her printing. This is possible because, print jobs initiated by users are stored on the MyQ/PaperCut Server, and can be released to any of the networked MFPs, at the convenience of the user.

    Similarly, frequently required jobs can be saved on a user’s account, giving him/ her recurrent access to the saved jobs as many time as the need arose.
